New York Times photographers Lynsey Addario and Tyler Hicks, as well as videographer Stephen Farrell and reporter Anthony Shadid, are missing in Libya, the Times reported last night.

All four journalists have extensive experience in conflict zones, but the Times has not heard from them since Tuesday morning, the paper says.

Update 3/18/2011, 8:58am EST:

The Times is now reporting that the four journalists were captured by pro-Qaddafi forces. The Qaddafi government says that all four will be released today.
