Giga Vu Pro evolution to gain on-screen loupe
Thursday, February 15, 2007 | by Rob Galbraith
Jobo has announced today that an upcoming firmware revision for the Giga Vu Pro evolution will add an on-screen loupe to the photo storage device (PSD) for working photographers.

JOBO AG also announces a firmware update to its award-winning GIGA Vu PRO evolution digital image
storage and viewing device. The new J.D. Loupe (the brain child of National Geographic photographer
and loyal GIGA Vu PRO evolution user Jay Dickman) provides users of this mobile image storage device
with a button in the unitís zoom menu that makes a rectangular loupe appear on the LCD screen so
photographers can closely examine important details of their pictures.

A ship date for the firmware revision isn't given in the press release. Last month, Jobo released firmware v1.0.3 for the Giga Vu Pro evolution, which added more cameras' RAW files to the list of file types compatible with the company's flagship PSD.
