Camera Bits announces Auto Keeper Tagging technology
Thursday, April 1, 2004 | by Umberto Galberini

Super Special April 1st Scoop: Camera Bits has today announced a new technology designed to streamline the process of editing hundreds or even thousands of photos in its Photo Mechanic browsing application. Called Auto Keeper Tagging (AKT!), the best pictures from an assignment are automatically selected based on an analysis of image data that considers multiple criteria, including whether a subject's eyes are open or closed.

The Portland, OR-based software company has posted a brief press release about AKT! today, with more details to be released on April 2, 2004.
