Updates to C1 PRO, SE and LE slated for May 27 release
Tuesday, May 25, 2004 | by Rob Galbraith

Phase One is gearing up to release new versions of its C1 RAW photo conversion suite. On May 27, the company will release v3.5 of C1 PRO and SE for Mac OS X and Windows, and LE for Windows only.

The biggest changes are on the Mac side, with the long-promised support for Nikon NEF RAW files making it into the program for the first time. The cameras supported across both platforms is identical as of v3.5, and includes digital SLR models from Canon, Nikon, Fujifilm and Pentax. A June 2004 update to v3.5 is expected to add support for several Olympus models as well.

The list of changes, upgrade details and OS requirements are detailed on the web site ( is a newly-launched web site operated by Michael Tapes, independent software developer as well as the Senior Product Manager for the C1 Product Group at Phase One) and in a recent Phase One newsletter.
