Noise Ninja 2.0 hits the streets
Thursday, July 15, 2004 | by Rob Galbraith

Noise Ninja 2.0 for Mac OS X and Windows is now out of beta and has been officially released.

Two versions are available:

  • The US$69 Professional edition supports 8 and 16-bit file output, utilizes multiple processors when present and, most importantly, can process photos both individually and in batches.

  • The US$29 Home edition supports 8-bit output only, utilizes only a single processor even on multiple processor machines and lacks the ability to process photos in batches.

Licensed users of Noise Ninja v1.x can upgrade to v2.0 at no charge, though a new license key must be requested from PictureCode. A trial version is also available (some features are disabled while images are watermarked with a grid pattern until it's registered).

See Noise Ninja v2.0 for Mac and Windows nearing release for more information on this powerful noise reduction software.
