Matsushita (Panasonic) to enter digital SLR market
Thursday, March 31, 2005 | by Eamon Hickey
A story on the Nikkei Electronics Asia web site says that Matsushita, the company behind the Panasonic brand name, has announced plans to ship interchangeable-lens digital SLR cameras in 2006. The cameras will comply with the Four-Thirds lensmount/sensor standard used by Olympus in the E-1 and E-300.

The story implies that Matsushita will concentrate on making its cameras and lenses smaller than previously available film and digital SLR models.
