Wednesday, March 9, 2005 | by Eamon Hickey

The March 2005 issue of The Digital Journalist has been posted. Stories include:

  • An interview with Dallas Morning News staff photographer David Leeson who won a Pulitzer Prize in 2004 for his coverage of the war in Iraq. Leeson talks at length about his motivations, as well as his intellectual and emotional experiences, over a long career photographing wars and conflicts. A gallery of Leeson's excellent photographs runs alongside the story.
  • An overview of the recently published book Magnum Stories, which features photo essays by 62 current and former Magnum photographers. Another gallery of predictably excellent photos runs with this story.
  • A brief set of comments on using the Epson R-D1, the world's first digital rangefinder camera, by long-time Leica aficionado David Alan Harvey.
  • Dispatches from photojournalists covering the rebels in Banda Aceh, the Oscars, and The Gates exhibit in Central Park.
